WASSIM HAMDI

Biography

Wassim Hamdi is a multi-faceted researcher with a Master's degree in International Relations from Webster University in Geneva and a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Wassim has cultivated a distinct blend of hard skills such as data interpretation, research, and analytics. His research spans a wide range of areas including international relations, social norms and behavior, and environmental studies. These academic achievements are enriched by international experiences in Hong Kong and Qatar, which have provided him with valuable insights into the cultural and social norms of the Arab world. These global perspectives inform his current research role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Wassim is analyzing the relationship between climate change and social development. Prior to this, he contributed to environmental sustainability research at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar. Fluent in English and French, with intermediate skills in Spanish and basic understanding of Arabic and Chinese, Wassim is a committed lifelong learner who brings a diverse skill set and a cosmopolitan worldview to the evolving landscape of international relations and environmental policy.
