Maram Hasanain is a PostDoctoral researcher at QCRI. She received her PhD from Qatar University. Her research interest are Arabic information retrieval and NLP. Maram has extensively worked on problems relevant to fake news and propaganda detection on the Web and Social Media. She has been a co-organizer of several shared tasks and evaluation campaigns around these problems including the CheckThat! lab at CLEF 2019-2021, and 2023, and ArAIEval shared task at WANLP2023.
